It is an extremely good book. It makes some people think about the environment and that animals have feelings too. He's put effort into the vocabulary by making the paragraphs effective.

There is sometimes some violence against animals and emotion towards them as well that little children might not handle.

There is violence, distress, miner animal cruelty and emotion so I would suggest it to age 7+.
